Biography
Aussie alt-rock 5 piece "As We Are" made their debut appearance at Brisbanes' renowned indie venue, "THE ZOO" late 2006 and in a remarkably short time recorded and released digitally worldwide their debut EP "To Drown A Box", had their single "THE LINE" placed with surf giant QUIKSILVER on a US/AUS tv commercial for a worldwide dvd release, recorded with the legendary Mike Stavrou (Paul McCartney, Sting, Elton John), played countless live shows with some of Australias finest bands Avalon Drive, Repeat Offender & Shifter, and most recently filmed the clip for the first single off an upcoming album release with Hollywood cinematographer Simon Christides (Fools Gold, Sneaky Sound System). With previous international touring credentials and successes in Australia that include live television appearances on ROVE and winning JJJ's UNEARTHED all in previous outfits, As We Are are rapidly claiming the Aussie music scene. They prove that innovative songwriting coupled with lush vocals will always reign supreme... With the debut long player set to drop late 2008 and a permanent self-funded move/tour to UK & Europe (starting Oct 2008) at the same time, As We Are is a band to watch !
