Biography
Formed in 2005 by José Alberto Pinheiro and Hugo Mesquita, DEEP SLEEP are a Portuguese Indie Electropop band openly influenced by acts like David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Siouxsie and the Banshees or The Cure.
After managing to create a wave of fans in the cyberspace with the promising Sessions EP and a series of MySpace exclusive singles, they independently released their debut album SHADOW OF A DREAM in spring 2009.
SHADOW OF A DREAM delivers themes that range from contagious pop and dark dance floor beats to introspective urban soundscapes, with a unique blend of guitars, electronica and intense vocals.
