The Music Road Pilots Journey so far

Music Road Pilots was founded by Albert Rumengan early 2008, and immediately took the industry by storm. A number of spectacular shows across the country raised awareness, as Music Road Pilots teamed up with famous national and international stars including: Andy Tielman (The Tielman Brothers) (NL), Riem de Wolff (The Blue Diamonds) (NL), Albert West (NL), Country Artist Danny Leigh (USA) and Indonesian Country Artist Tantowi Yahya (ID). Concerts were done at popular venues, including the Rijnhal and AHOY Rotterdam. On the release of their first album “When She Gets Close To Me” in the Summer of 2010, the band was invited to play at major Americana Festivals across Europe. 2011 Included a packed Summer Tour playing at many venues and shows including: Tours (F), Cagnes sur Mer (F), La Tour de Salvagny (F) and the Dutch Country Music Awards Gala 2011 in Oss (NL). In three years time MRP established themselves as one of Europe’s best and most exciting Americana-acts.

In 2012 they will be performing at a lot of summer festivals in France, Belgium, Austria, Denmark, Germany etc. Later this year recordings of their second CD will start. The new album will consist of original material mainly.

Also in 2012 the band will be working with the American country-artist Jerry Kilgore, a regular on the country billboardcharts in the US.

The Music They Play

MRP music is rooted in the raw, warm, authentic Americana folk sounds first sung by people such as Hank Williams, Ray Price, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens and George Jones. They use this great classic sound and merge it with the fast paced country rock of modern today. The MRP band members interpret their cherished roots in a modern and unique way to bring you music with a compelling new twist: Modern Country, Traditional Country, Country Funk, Southern Rock, Rock 'n Roll and Blues. Inspired by contemporary artists such as Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Vince Gill, Dierks Bentley and Sixwire. Classic Americana... at its best!
