Best Music Website Award!
Fixagig have recently won the award for "Best Music Website" at the North East Digital Awards Ceremony which was held at the Hyena Comedy Club in Newcastle upon Tyne, on Thursday 15th May 2008.
Thanks to everyone who voted to get us shortlisted for the award. The judges chose Fixagig as the winning site out of the shortlisted entries.
Fixagig Have Gone National!
Due to the success of Fixagig in the North East and the amount of requests we've had over the last few months, Fixagig have expanded their network and are now open to the whole of the UK.
In order to keep things nice and local for existing and new members, we have added the option to localise Fixagig to only display content relevant to your chosen area. You can localise the site to only show venues that are within your chosen area and acts that are willing to perform in that area. This makes things easier for users to browse their local scene without constantly filling out search forms to narrow things down.
Brand New Design
Fixagig has had a full redesign to compliment the launch of the new nationalisation of the website. Along with a new look, we have added some new features which we hope you will find useful and improve your experience whilst browsing the site.
New Features
We have added a whole range of new features, some of which are free.
Acts
- New Fixagig Pro Accounts have been created for added features
- Customizable Act Names using true-type fonts
- Acts can sell merchandise such as CD's and T-Shirts from their profile.
- Acts can display their own gig list page via their profile.
- Acts can display their fixagig gig list on their own website to eliminate the need to update two seperate lists.
- Acts can have up to 5 Audio demos on their profile.
Venues
- New Fixagig Pro Accounts have been created for added features
- Venues can now add a description to their profile.
- Venues can now add a Photo to their profile.
- Venues can display their own website link in their profile.
- Venues can display a link to a map of their location in their profile.
Site Visitors
- New clean layout to make the whole browsing experience better
- Localisation of the website by postcode area.
- Search facility for finding the type of act you want to view.
