Biography
The ROAD RUNNERS were formed on 25/11/09 by 5 local musicians. Two of the band (lead vocal & bassist) came from the Black River Band. They are a 5 piece band playing Rocky up-tempo R&B and are constantly bring in new material, so check us out.
Rufus T Firefly - Vocals & Harp: Has done it all, a living legend of the Blues. Previously with Ryan Lamb and the Roadrunners Rufus' experience takes the music to another level, and with a harp sound to die for it all adds up to 100% entertainment, he left the Black River Band in Dec 09 to form the Road Runners
Barry Flyby - Bass Guitar: Barry uses Fender Bass guitars with an Ashdown rig. Has played with the first Iron Maiden (no relation) and cult band Zior also with the Blues Burglers, Gypsy, Monument, Steve Lee & the Soulutions & a number of other bands. He has also worked with Venom, Anathema, Riot, Trouble, Skydad, Samson, Black Sabath, Saxon & Manowar. He also left The Black River Band in Dec '09 to form the Road Runners with Rufus.
